I am Research Support Coordinator for the TNW/S&T faculty since October 2022, and support topics related to Research Data Management, Open and Citizen Science, Ethics and Privacy.

Functional themes

(i) Research Data management: I work in close cooperation with S&T Data Stewards, Iris Schutte and Simone van Lin, research policy officer, information specialists, ICT account manager and specialists from the Library, ICT services and Archive (LISA) department. For general queries, you can always reach out. I can help connect you with the support staff.

(ii) Ethics: Together with Anne-Marie Klijnstra (ET), I support the NES Ethics Committee in the role of secretary. We also maintain the administration of the NES ethics web application. You can contact us via ethicscommittee-nes@utwente.nl for support related to ethics applications to the NES Ethics Committee. Medical research can involve specific legislations such as the Dutch Research involving Human Subjects Act (WMO). For related support, see TechMed Centre research support.

(iii) Privacy: I am a contact person within S&T for privacy-related questions and support, on topics such as data processing agreements and legal compliance. I work in close contact with the Data Protection team.

The university has a Privacy website that provides key information and guides researchers. All processing of personal data must be registered across the University of Twente. For queries or support, you can contact me.
