I am a researcher interested in system integration and management of digitised assets. Currently, I am researching how to manage the convergence of IT and OT systems within capital assets, specifically within rolling stock (trains). My research aims to support asset managers by developing methods for aligning the lifecycle of their assets over their entire lifecycle. This research is in collaboration with the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS).

My PhD is part of the AMICO project, an ongoing project within the Asset Management and Maintenance Engineering (AMME) group of the DPM department.

The AMICO project focuses on finding solutions for increasing asset digitisation. For more information, see the AMICO website: AMICO Project - MAINTAINING DIGITIZED TRAINS FOR RAILWAY RESILIENCE (utwente.nl).

The topic of my project within AMICO is: "Supporting the management of IT-OT converged assets".

My research efforts focus on investigating the factors essential for managing digitised assets and creating tools to support the management of these aspects throughout an asset's lifecycle. The main focus is on the management of rolling stock (trains).
