About Me

Aizhan Tursunbayeva (PhD, Doctor Europaeus, GRP) is Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management at the University of Twente (The Netherlands). Her previous professional roles include Management Consultant at KPMG Advisory and HR Manager at HSBC Bank, amongst other managerial positions in Italy, Canada, Poland, Kazakhstan, and the UK.

Her interdisciplinary research lies at the intersection of Human Resource Management, Technology, Innovation, and Healthcare, and has been published in a range of international peer-reviewed journals including Information Technology and People, Government Information Quarterly, Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, Management Learning, BMC Health Services Research, and International Journal of Information Management. In 2019 she won one of the Best PhD thesis awards from the Italian Association for Organization and Human Resource Management.
