My main goal is to identify new key molecular pathways and regulatory elements for cardiac subtype specification and enhance its maturation in order to improve the in vitro procedures to generate cells for cardiovascular disease modeling and therapeutic applications. 

This project is part of the Netherlands Organization for Health Research and Development - ZonMW.
