Diego Quintero comes from Colombia he studied a bachelor degree in Environmental and Sanitary Engineering at La Salle University in Bogotá with a focus in decentralized water treatment systems, he moved to The Netherlands in 2009 to study a Master degree in Sustainable Energy Technologies at TU Delft, there he met the company Dr Ten BV and developed his Master thesis/internship in novel energy storage systems, he has been hired by Dr Ten BV since 2011 doing research and development of products of the company for BOP markets (specially Colombia). Currently he has started a PhD position, to integrate new high tech technologies in the area of smart energy buildings within the I-Care project. The PhD project is developed in cooperation with the University of Twente and the company Dr Ten BV.
