Derian Tairo received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco (UNSAAC), Perú, in 2022, and the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Campinas, Brazil, in 2024. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree at the University of Twente, Enschede, the Netherlands. His research interests include the development of methodologies for the optimization, operation, and control of electrical distribution systems, including hardware-in-the-loop simulation. Since 2017, he has been an active IEEE Power & Energy Society volunteer.
