dr. E. Nugraha (Erwin)

About Me

Erwin Nugraha holds a Master’s degree in Risk and Environmental Hazards and a PhD in Human Geography from Durham University in the UK. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Governance and Technology for Sustainability at the University of Twente. Most of his time, he will support a consortium project called ‘Cluster for Cloud to Coast Climate Change Adaptation’, known as the C5a project, to develop a cloud-to-coast approach for the management of flood risk. However, his research falls broadly across the politics and governance of climate change adaptation, cultures of risk and resilience, and urban decoloniality with a specific interest in cities in the Global South. He was the first social scientist to win the Allianz Climate Risk Research Awards in 2017.
