dr. E. Taal (Erik)

Associate Professor

About Me

Erik Taal is trained as a social psychologist. His expertise lies in the domain of health psychology. He wrote his Phd thesis about patient education and self-management in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. He works as an associate professor at the department of Psychology, Health and Technology.

His research interests are in the field of empowerment and self-management of patients with chronic diseases, and measurement of patient reported outcomes. His research has been mainly involved with rheumatic diseases.

He teaches in the bachelor Psychology and the mastertrack Health Psychology and Technology.
