S.E. Rahimi PhD (Elias)

About Me

I am Said Elias Rahim and I was born 4th of May 1986 in Afghanistan, proud husband to Morsal Tawakol and father of one beautiful girl (Ayesha Rahimi). I am having more than three years of postdoctoral experience. I have gained strong theoretical and methodological knowledge of dynamics of structures, wind-induced vibrations, and control of structures, and of earthquake-induced vibration research. My current focus in research is to develop skills in structural health monitoring (SHM) with the help of artificial intelligent (AI) tools. I have gained mentorship experience through supervising teaching assistants for PhD students and several post-graduates and undergraduate students in research activities. I have editorial experience in several top journals like  editor of Practice Periodical on Structural Design and Construction of American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE); (ISSN 1943-5576). Recently, he was listed as outstanding reviewer by American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE).
