About Me

Guido van Capelleveen is a PhD student at IEBIS. He developed a business and academic background in information systems & technology, specialized in business analytics and data mining, currently in the field of engaging industrial symbiosis. Guido is particularly interested in the application fields of data science in real world projects.

Guido holds a Master degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Twente. His Msc thesis research was performed at the University of California, San Diego, where he researched the application of outlier based predictors for Health Insurance Fraud Detection in the U.S. Medicaid program. After his Masters he worked as an information analyst on management information systems for one of the larger Dutch software organizations.
