Visiting Researcher at the Faculty of Engineering Technology (ET), Soil Micro-Mechanics (SMM).
Enrolled as Assistant Professor at University of Rome Tor Vergata, Department of Computer Science and Civil Engineering.
Organisations
My Research Interests mainly deal with:
- Multi-phase processes in soils, such as freezing and thawing (in particular applied to the artificial ground freezing technique for tunnel excavation support), evaporation and transport of diluted species
- Micro-mechanics of granular soils, especially related to the phenomenon of Grain Crushing
- Morphology characterisation of grains and rock discontinuities by the fractal analysis approach.
Research profiles
Teaching:
- Master Degree Course of Advanced Soil Mechanics at University of Twente
- Master Degree Course of "Foundation", "Excavation and Retaining Structures" and "Geotechnics for Sustainability" at University of Roma Tor Vergata
