About Me

I have always been fascinated by the word, spoken and written alike: there's so much to it!   Think of its capacity to inform, entertain, persuade.  The grammar, styles, usages and nuances of languages.  The creation of texts and situations of conversations.  The challenges of appropriate and adequate communication.  Even the typesetting of fonts, symbols and formulas

The UT Language Centre in the Centre for Education Support is a unique environment where to blend this deep-rooted passion of mine and my long-standing competences as a post-doctoral researcher and consultant working in several countries

With this background, it is for me an honour and a privilege to help the Ph.D. and Eng.D. candidates of UT professionalize their own skill sets in academic publishing, public speaking, and negotiation skills. In our courses I am dedicated to promoting a broad and sound view into the topics we touch upon, and am hopeful of contributing to achieving lifelong gains

I have authored peer-reviewed articles, technical reports, conference papers, conference posters, textbooks, book introductions, and diverse outreach texts like this one. Beside having lectured for graduate students, I have addressed specialistic audiences at national and international conferences as well as the general public at cultural institutes and libraries. I have also moderated conference sessions upon the organisers' invitation
