I am Hossein Norouzi Firouz (Hossein), currently employed as a PDEng trainee in the field of Process and Energy Engineering and working on numerical modelling of Anaerobic Digestion Processes by computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Chemical engineering was my main choice for the engineering major in the university, simply because of combination of chemistry and mathematics that is almost unique among the engineering majors. After graduation of my B.Sc. from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) in 2013, I decided to continue my engineering career in the M.Sc. by choosing the Energy and Environment minor as my research field in the University of Tehran in 2014 . My master thesis was focused on studying the effects of hydrodynamic, on biokinetic models in bioreactor of activated sludge process (aeration tank) by CFD.
In 2015, I have become an expert member of UNESCO chair on water reuse (UCWR) and we accomplished a water reuse project for the biggest company of corn wet milling in Iran (Glucosan) that resulted in reducing the total amount of water consumption of the plant.
Now, as a PDEng trainee, I am going to pursue my way in modelling the environmental processes and at this time, CFD of the anaerobic digestion.
