About Me
Karla is a postdoctoral researcher in the SmartHubs project (Smart Mobility Hubs as Game Changers in Transport).
Karla researches the transition towards a more sustainable mobility system, putting together perspectives on users, markets, and policies. Specifically, she researches new, access-based, mobility services like car- and bikesharing and MaaS (Mobility-as-a-Service).
Karla has international research experience in the field of mobility innovations (shared mobility, on-demand mobility services, electric vehicles) from TNO (researcher and consultant on the topic of new mobility), Utrecht University (PhD on upscaling of carsharing), Fraunhofer ISI (research on the acceptance of electric vehicles), UC Berkeley (research on ridehailing, ridesharing) and KIT (research on acceptance and potential of electric mobility and smart home/smart charging topics).
