I received my BSc and MSc in mechanical engineering in 2009 and 2011 from Iran University of Science and Technology. In my master, I worked on the interaction between contact mechanisms in normal and tangential directions. Specifically, I looked at the effect of vibratory normal forces on the pre-sliding behavior.
In 2015, I started my PhD in surface technology and tribology at the University of Twente. I am currently working on modeling surface forces (adhesive forces) including van der Waals and capillary forces at the rough interface of two contacting surfaces. Further, I look at the effect of these surface forces on the pre-sliding behavior of such a contact which is of huge importance in modern technology dealing with micro/nano-scale devices.
