About Me

Following a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente (2016) and a PhD in the Magnetic Detection and Imaging group (2020) I am now a postdoctoral researcher. The main goal of my PhD was to develop a laparoscopic probe for sentinel node biopsy. This is significant, because it will help to personalize cancer patient care. To achieve this, we use a magnetic probe in combination with magnetic nanoparticles. To further improve our detection technique, we developed a characterization method for superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles. During my postdoc I further develop these magnetic detection methods and write grant proposals.
