About Me

Mayli obtained a Master in Applied Ethics from Linköping University in Sweden and is Member of the Sherwin B. Nuland Summer Institute in Bioethics at the Yale University Center for Bioethics, where she also teaches. She is currently working as a Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Marianne Boenink‘s research project entitled “Prognosticating of patients in coma: towards a responsible practice” at the University of Twente.

In 2016, Mayli was awarded ’Best Formal Paper by a Graduate Student’ by the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE) for her work “Objectivity behind the red line: A case for binocularity in war reporting”.

Mayli is an instructor at the Yale University's Summer Institute for Bioethics; a position for which she received an "Excellence in Teaching" honorary award in 2017.
