About Me

I am an assistant professor in innovative technologies for an inclusive and sustainable finance within the entrepreneurship, strategy & innovation management (NIKOS) research group of University of Twente, where I teach entrepreneurial finance.

I am part of the research project SFIDE (Strengthening financial inclusion through digitalisation in Europe), funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB).

I am also principal Investigator of ‘COVID-19 and crowdfunding: an investigation on impact-oriented entrepreneurship projects in 2020’ research project, financed by BMS Covid-19 Fund.

In 2021, I have been appointed Chair of the Business and Impact Council of the UNESCO's International Research Center on Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI).

My academic experience includes a previous position as senior postdoctoral researcher at University College Cork in the project FintechNext (sustainable fintech) and another as postdoctoral researcher at University of Naples (artificial intelligence for sustainable investing). Over the last years, I have collaborated and interacted with various research institutions and multinationals. My professional experience outside academia also includes the creation of an innovation - driven think tank, the scientific direction of a sustainability-focused foundation, and various roles in sustainable financial and industrial companies.

I teach financial management of innovative enterprise in the Minor Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Finance in the MSc. Business Administration.
