About Me
I'm a health economist with a background in medicine (Drs.), clinical epidemiology (MSc.), organisational anthropology (BSc.), and health economics (MSc., PhD.). I'm passionate about realistically capturing the value of interventions in health economic models. My main experience lies in oncology, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, and emergency medicine. I've also worked on projects in nephrology, infectious diseases, and diagnostics.
One of my overarching interests is the use of real-world evidence to inform and improve reimbursement decisions. A related interest is value-based contracting: can we make payments for health technologies dependent on whether they truly make a difference?
