About Me

I am a PDEng trainee in the Construction Management & Engineering Department. Currently, I am working on a project to develop a safety system, based on using real-time visualization and geo-fencing, to protect high-pressure pipelines from excavation damages. Related to this topic, in the year 2016, I did a research work in the University of Twente, about all the existing underground utility safety technologies. My academic background is mostly about the Geo-Information Science and Civil Engineering aspects. In addition to my academic background, I also have worked for several years in different construction projects. all about my profession, I like my filed, my current work and its working environment.

Beside my professional life, I have a great family life with my lovely wife and daughter.

Research

The high-pressure underground pipelines are subject to damage during the excavation work. The geo-fencing-based safety system is a safety system that can help to reduce the number of high-pressure pipeline incidents. This safety system works based on using real-time visualization and geo-fencing. System creates a geo-fence around the pipes and at the same tracks the excavation equipment. If an excavation equipment carries out an excavation work close to the pipes, the system generates an alarm.
