S. Das MSc (Shirsendu)

PhD Candidate

About Me

I got my master's degree in 2022, where I have worked on solvation dynamics in binary solvent mixtures with the help of steady state and time resolved spectroscopy. My PhD research will concentrate on the dynamics of photo-induced water oxidation using ultrafast laser spectroscopy.

Research

The aim is to realize an efficient photoanode that can give greater solar-to-fuel conversion. More particularly, by virtue of quantum coherence to enhance functionality by stabilizing charge separation and introducing directionality in charge transport processes at the bismuth vanadate photoanode to enhance the photoelectrocatalytic performance of water splitting. Altogether with a blend of perfect characterization to see if vibrionic coupling can aid efficient photochemical conversion.
