I am a physicist by training and I have graduated from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University (Ukraine). Further I have gotten my PhD from Research Center Julich (Germany)  and spend two postdoctoral terms at Cees Dekker lab (TU Delft ) and Michel Orrit lab (Leiden University). My research has always revolved around detection and studying single molecules using various sensing platforms: silicon nanowire field-effect transistors, solid-state nanopores, plasmonic nanopores. Finally at the Lab-on-a-Chip group I am developing new label-free methods to detect and study single biomolecules using interferometric scattering and nanotechnology.
