About Me

I am especially interested in supporting the development of (early career) teachers through technology-supported coaching and reflection. Previously, my research has focused on the conceptualisation, design of (technological) support, and measurement of teachers' reflective dialogue in video-coaching settings, as well as the development of practical support for coaches in schools. Currently, I am working on the next design iteration of a teacher reflection formative assessment tool (called ReflAct) with the aim to help coaches to improve their own coaching practice and align the coaching practices in teams of coaches within schools. In my work I often use educational design research/ design-based (implementation) research as an approach to develop both theoretical understanding, as well as practical outputs in this line of work.
