T.J.H. Brug MSc (Tycho)

About Me

Tycho moved to Enschede in 2010 and started his studies at the University of Twente. He received his BSc degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2013. After his master, he organized the study tour for Biomedical Engineering and Technical Medicine students to India for a year. Following that year, he pursued his MSc degree in the field of Human and Motor Control and received his MSc degree (cum laude) in May 2017. He also recieved the Koninklijk Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen award for young talent for the best master thesis in the field of biomedical engineering in 2016/2017.

He started working for the Biomechanical Engineering Department in June 2017 as a junior researcher, partly for the BALANCE project and partly for the VICI-Flexible Robotic Suit Project of Herman van der Kooij. His main focus is developing bio-inspired controllers for (flexible) exoskeletons.
