About Me

Yanqiu Huang is an assistant professor in the Pervasive Systems Group at the University of Twente since Feb. 2020. She obtained her PhD at University of Bremen in 2017. Before her graduation, she received the young talent award from Uni-Bremen for her postdoctoral research with her independent project and teaching load.

She has both applicable and fundamental research experiences in IoT. Her particular interest is the interaction between in-network processing, wireless communication, control, and network optimization, especially for resource constrained networks and systems.

Research

My research interests include Internet of Things (IoT), cyber-physical system, embedded system, wireless communication, optimization and computational intelligence. I am especially interested in the resource constrained networks, where the devices have limited energy, memory resources, computation and communication abilities. These constraints bring many new research challenges. One of my research topics is to design efficient algorithms for reducing the energy cost and increasing the collaboration of the IoT end devices using the interdisciplinary knowledge between communication, control, signal processing and network optimization.
