About Me

About ME:

Yuan-Ching Lien was born in Taiwan. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University. In 2007, he joined MediaTek Inc., Hsinchu, Taiwan. From 2014 to 2018, he did PH.D. research at University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands. His research interests include continuous-time filters, Nyquist rate data converters, and reconfigurable RF front ends.

Research topic:

Filter-less Radio Receivers

Wireless radio receivers for mobile phones currently often rely on discrete Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filters as RF pre-selection filters. However, such filters are bulky, not tunable and expensive.

In this research, we aim to develop circuit techniques that can replace SAW filters by on-chip CMOS circuits.
