I am a behavioural scientist by training and received my PhD in 2018 from the University of Twente (Department of Public Administration, and Health Technology and Services Research) with a thesis entitled: "Fragile, please handle with care. Understanding and supporting professionals' response to child abuse and neglect". For more than 10 years, I have been working on topics regarding (understanding) implementation of innovations in health care, such as clinical guidelines and eHealth.

My current research activities focus on the implementation and evaluation of digital healthcare (pathways) for people with chronic illnesses, including type 2 diabetes and chronic musculoskeletal pain. Also, I work one day a week at ZGT hospital (Department of science and innovation) as a researcher and implementation consultant as part of my employment at the University of Twente. Furthermore, I teach implementation science in several educational programs (e.g. Public Health Innovations, Telemedicine) and supervise multiple bachelor and master students Health Sciences.
