I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Surface Technology and Tribology (STT) group at the University of Twente. My current work focuses on āμFault: scaling friction from micro-contacts to fault gouge,ā with a particular interest in pre-sliding phenomena in ball-on-flat contact and how microscopic interactions shape macroscopic friction.
During my PhD at STT group, I investigated plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) of aluminium alloys to optimise interface in metalāthermoplastic hybrid joints. My research contributed to a deeper understanding of surface engineering, wetting behaviour, and bonding mechanisms in advanced hybrid material systems.
