Anna Bos-Nehles is Associate Professor in the field of Human Resource Management and Programme director of the Business Administration programmes at the University of Twente. Her main research interest lies in the role of line managers in the implementation of HRM innovations and the implementation of people-based innovations, such as innovative employee behaviours. She focuses on how line managers implement HR policies and practices at the operational level, in the way they shape the innovative behaviour of employees in all areas of the organisation and how they use digital innovations to manage their subordinates. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed international outlets such as International Journal of Management Reviews, Human Resource Management Journal, Human Resource Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Personnel Review.

She has performed research projects in a variety of organizations, such as Shell, Stork Fokker, Thales, Strukton Worksphere, Plegt-Vos, Benchmark Electronics, The Netherlands Fire Services, Asito, and several healthcare organizations.

Anna has a passion for educational innovations, such as the Co-creation of a 360 Degree Peer Review Process and Challenge-Based Learning. She has implemented these innovations in her courses at the University of Twente and has helped her colleagues to do the same. Since 2022, Anna is Programme director of the BSc programme International Business Administration and the MSc programme Business Administration.
