Graduate in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez. He received the Santiago Grisolía's scholarship from the Valencian Community, Spain, and did his master's and doctorate degrees at the University of Valencia.
He is certified as a user experience (UX) designer and researches the implementation of user-centred online interventions. He is also researching the impact of climate change on mental health.
