Anne is a PhD candidate with the Department of Governance and Technology for Sustainability at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. She holds an M.Sc. in Integrated Water Resources Management from Cologne University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and a B.Sc. in Geography from Dresden University of Technology in Germany.

Anne's PhD research focusses on innovatice participatory and collaborative water governance approaches across Europe.

GOVAQUA

Governance innovations for a transition to sustainable and equitable water use in Europe (02/2023 - 01/2027)

GOVAQUA identifies, assesses, develops and validates innovative governance instruments and approaches to support and accelerate a transition towards sustainable and equitable water use in Europe. The project systematically analyses and compares existing water governance systems across Europe, focusing on water use and its impacts in agriculture, industries, energy production, water utilities and the role of citizens.
