Anand Krishnamurthy Iyer was born in Dubai, UAE in 1996. He received his bachelor’s degree (with distinction) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai, India and a master’s degree (cum laude) in Electrical Engineering (with a focus on Electrical Power Engineering) from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. Since his graduation, he was working with Lightyear on the design optimisation of the drive-inverter.

Since April 2023, he has been working towards his PhD on the model-based design-optimisation of power converters in the Power Electronics & EMC (PE) group at the University of Twente. His research interests include model-based optimisation, modulation strategies and multi-level converters
