Analog Approximate Accelerators (AAA) implement the energy-consuming computations in the analog instead of the digital domain to potentially improve upon computational energy-efficiency. However, the overhead imposed by the data converters (ADCs/DACs), is not negligible. This research will focus on Low energy design techniques for ADCs and DACs to facilitate the AAA, which will be integrated with functionally equivalent digital accelerators, on a SoC, to fairly benchmark the anticipated improvements.
