Abolfazl is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Thermal and Fluid Engineering (Thermal Engineering Group). Abolfazl holds a Bachelor’s degree (2013-2017) and a Master’s degree (2018-2019) in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in fluid mechanics. Building on this foundation, he completed his Ph.D. (2020-2023) through a joint program at the University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy and the University of Twente, Enschede, Netherlands. During his doctoral studies, he contributed to multidisciplinary projects focusing on innovative materials for solar energy storage and harvesting, targeting both domestic and industrial applications. As part of his research, Abolfazl played a key role in the design, construction, and successful experimental demonstration of a prototype-scale latent heat thermal energy storage system.

After successful completion of his project, he joined the University of Twente, Enschede, Netherlands, as a postdoctoral researcher. During this period, he led design, construction, and experimentation of a prototype scale. His research explores the transformation of captured CO₂ into valuable products for supply chain applications, such as packaging materials, sugars for carbonation in soft drinks, and synthetic fuels for industrial operations. Additionally, he conducts fundamental studies on phase change materials for energy storage, with applications in thermal energy storage systems and thermal fluid technologies.
