As far as I can remember, I have always wanted to be involved in Education. I started in Portugal (my homeland), where I worked as a teacher and learning coordinator for adults and youngsters in different schools and vocational training centres for over eight years. I grew interested in using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Education during that period. This interest led me to pursue a Master's in ICT applied to Education.
I moved to the Netherlands in June 2014. I worked as an Education Development Officer at ITC (Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation, University of Twente) until February 2018. During that period, I have supported teachers (re)designing their courses into a blended learning format.
Since November 2018, I have worked as an E-learning specialist at TNW (Faculty of Science and Technology). I work closely with teachers, Programmes and other educational experts, and my primary role is to advise and support Faculty staff with e-learning and b-learning solutions. My main interests are course design and educational tools. I would love to listen to your ideas, share best practices, and work with you to improve the teaching and learning experience.
Finally, some curiosities about who I am outside of work: I like to cook, eat and talk about food like most Portuguese people. I have a wonderful and active daughter. I love dogs, travelling and getting to know different places and traditions. I regularly practice yoga. I like to walk in nature, listen to music and write.
