Dr Anne van Dongen is an Assistant Professor in Health Psychology & Technology at the University of Twente. They are an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in research and education, with a particular focus on creating inclusive research practices and learning environments.

Their research and teaching center on the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex (e)Health interventions, drawing on health psychology and health science. They have extensive international experience, having previously worked as a Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales (Australia) and the University of York (UK).

Their current research interests include the development of inclusive mental health interventions for queer youth, with the aim of addressing health inequalities and improving accessibility and relevance of mental health support.
