Alina Steiger is an external PhD candidate at University of Twente and a PhD candidate at Hamburg School of Business Administration, where she has started her PhD in 2024. Her expertise lies in the intersection of digital and sustainable transformation. In particular, she investigates how these two transformation trajectories are connected, which forms and patterns this connection can take, and how it evolves across industries, countries, and organizations. Through her work, she aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of how companies can navigate digitalization and sustainability in an integrated way.

While pursuing her studies, she gained work experience across several industries, including the automotive sector, healthcare, and the event and media industry. These diverse contexts have shaped her interest in how organizations respond to complex transformation processes under varying economic, social, and technological conditions.
