I am a PhD candidate at the University of Twente, where I started on 01 September 2025 under the supervision of Dr. Oluwafemi Ojambati. My research focuses on developing advanced optical techniques for highly sensitive biosensing, with the goal of improving microbial contamination detection.
I earned a BSc in Electrical (Electronics) Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan (September 2018 ā August 2022), and an MSc in Materials Science and Nanotechnology from UNAMāBilkent University, Turkey (September 2022 ā July 2025). My MSc thesis, āNoise-Tolerant Wavefront Shaping for Focusing Light Through Multimode Fibers,ā investigated the upper bounds of light focusing through a mmf using phase-only modulation in the presence of noise. In this work, I developed a theoretical framework for predicting the intensity enhancement under realistic conditions, retrieved transmission matrices by common-path phase-shifting interferometry, and experimentally demonstrated enhancement factors approaching the theoretical limit. These results, incorporating both the input participation ratio and theĀ phase error coefficient, are presented in the preprint āUpper Bounds of Focusing Light Through Multimode Fibersā (arXiv:2504.07626).
Outside of research, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with animals ā turtles, in particular, have a special place in my heart.
