Chris Vermaas [ 1958 ] teaches in various departments at the University of Twente, he is a guest lecturer at AKI-academy in Enschede and at the Plantin Institute in Antwerp. He has taught at Dutch design academies in Eindhoven, Amsterdam and Utrecht. Over a span of a decade, he was faculty member at universities in the United States and Mexico, such as the Rhode Island School of Design, Yale University, Cooper Union and the Universidad de las Américas Puebla. Active as a designer for over forty years, he also wrote for many publications about the visual world. In Amsterdam, over where he lives with his family, he co-founded the design studio Office of CC in 1999, working on projects for commercial sectors, non-profit organisations, cultural institutions as well as for individuals.
