I am Castro Johnbosco, Biomedical Engineer interested in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering. I graduated my Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering from SRM University, Chennai, India. I moved to FH Aachen, Germany and completed my Masters in Biomedical Engineering in October 2019. During my Master's I performed my internship at Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research, Dresden in Prof Carsten Werner's Lab on hemocompatible surfaces. Then, I moved to ETH Zurich for my Master Thesis to Prof Marcy Zenobi Wong's Lab to work on polyoxazoline based hydrogels for bioprinting applications. Currently, I am doing PhD starting from July 2020 under Dr. Jeroen Leijten on development of modular bioinks for building hierarchical tissue constructs using advanced micro technologies.
Organisations
Bioengineering hierarchical tissues at a single cell resolution using modular bioinks
The goal is to build hierarchical tissue constructs with singe cell microgels using novel microtechnologies.
