Carlijn Serno works as a PhD Candidate at the Department of Psychology, Health, and Technology at the University of Twente. Her PhD project focuses on the concept of self-control and its role in the treatment of forensic patients.
Carlijn did her bachelor's in Liberal Arts and Sciences - with majors in Psychology, Law, Statistics, and Linguistics - at University College Roosevelt (University of Utrecht). She subsequently studied Forensic Psychology at the University of Maastricht, for which she obtained her master's degree in 2022.
