My work as an ALUMNI OFFICER includes not only liaising with our graduates but also other tasks:

Contact person for EEMCS + S&T + ET for:
➡️ EEMCS, S&T, and ET alumni
➡️ Programme directors
➡️ Bachelor and master advisors/coordinators
➡️ Student associations - board and/or committees
➡️ Alumni associations - board

Staff, students and alumni who have questions or requests regarding alumni affairs can contact me for, for example:
➡️ Newsletters
➡️ Contacting alumni
➡️ Looking for alumni for events
➡️ Social media posts (LI) about alumni and PhD activities (UT graduates and now PhD students at UT) = image building for our own alumni but also for external audiences.

For examples of completed work, see Projects tab

➡️ Alumni Career Day Applied Mathematics - alumni come along to speak to groups of (master's) students about their experiences of the programme and their current jobs. Alumni can tell their stories, students can ask questions. At the same time, alumni announce whether there are any internships, graduation projects, and how students can participate. This event is organised annually ism Marco (master committee) within the study association Abacus.

➡️ Women in Electrical Engineering - 4 alumnae are invited to talk to a female audience about their experiences within the programme and what it has brought them. What it was like to study and perhaps work as a lady within a 'man's world'. Of course, they also talk about the work they are doing now and why they chose this job and company. This event is organised annually in cooperation with KIVI Twente.

➡️ An example of a social media post is the story of Marlène Verburg-Hol. She studied Computer Science and participated in the Bachelor Open Days 2024. Her story can be read on my LinkedIn page

➡️ You can also find interviews with alumni on my LinkedIn page, such as the interview with Sissi de Beer (AP) for International Women's Day 2024.
