About Me

Dengpeng Huang joined the chair of Elastomer Technology and Engineering (ETE) at the University of Twente on March 1st, 2023. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Shandong University (China, 2012), his MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Jilin University (China, 2015) and his PhD in Computational Mechanics from the Leibniz Universität Hannover (Germany, 2020, with Prof. P. Wriggers). He was a PostDoc at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany, from 2020 to 2023, with Prof. S. Leyendecker). He was a visiting researcher at Technische Universität Dresden (Germany, December 2019, with Prof. M. Kaliske).

Research

Dengpeng Huang has a research background in Computational Mechanics and Applied Dynamics. His research interests are Machine Learning based Material Modelling, Flexible Multibody System Dynamics, Dielectric Elastomers and Soft Robotics.
