About Me

Eduardo Lalla-Ruiz is an assistant professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Business Information Systems (IEBIS) at the University of Twente (Enschede, Netherlands).  He holds a bachelor degree in industrial engineering, an advanced degree in industrial automation engineering, and a master of advanced studies in computer science and artificial intelligence from the University of La Laguna (Spain). At that same institution, Eduardo completed his Ph.D. and was awarded extraordinary doctoral distinction. After finishing his Ph.D., Eduardo was hired as a researcher and lecturer at the Institute of Information Systems (University of Hamburg). There, Eduardo became a fellow of the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Eduardo has published several research papers in specialized journals, collaborated in international research projects, served as guest editor and referee in relevant journals, and participated in the organization of sessions and conferences. His research interests lie in the fields of logistics, operations research, mathematical programming, decision support systems, and artificial intelligence.
