About Me
Elisa is a third-year PhD candidate whose project focuses on carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies - such as afforestation and reforestation (AR), bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) and direct air capture and storage (DACCS) - and intergenerational justice. In her work, she develops a multi-species capabilities approach to CDR. This project is part of the Ethics of Socially Disruptive Technologies (ESDiT) Programme.
Elisa has previously obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, International and Economic Studies at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Italy. She has also completed a Master's Programme in Applied Ethics at Linköping University, Sweden.
Her research interests include - but are not limited to - bioethics, environmental philosophy, climate justice, and public policy, with an overarching focus on intersectional feminism.
She is one of the founders and organisers of the Queer Feminist Philosophy of Technology Reading Group at the University of Twente. She is also part of the Environmental Philosophy and Technology (EPT) Group at Twente.
