In September 2024, I started my PhD at Deltares, studying the impact of floating solar (also known as floating photovoltaics, FPV) on freshwater ecosystems. My PhD is part of the EU SuRE project, and I use a combination of empirical data and advanced modeling (e.g., Delft3D-FM) to predict long-term effects on aquatic ecosystems and guide the development of environmentally friendly designs.
I hold a bachelor's and master's degree in Biology and Aquaculture & Marine Resource Management (specializing in Marine Animal Ecology) from Wageningen University & Research, providing me with a strong background in aquatic ecology and ecosystem dynamics.
