I studied for 5 years at the University of Twente and completed both a master's degree in Business Administration and a master's degree in Psychology. During this time, I developed a strong passion for scientific research that lies at the intersection between human behaviour and technology. I am mainly interested in the digital transformation of organizations and the interaction(s) between employees and (novel) technology.

I am currently working as a PHD-researcher within the HRM research group. In global terms, I study the interaction between employees and (novel) AI-technologies in small- and medium sized enteprises (SMEs) within the industrial manufacturing and agricultural sector. The reason for my studies originates from the fact that effective use of novel AI-technologies would, for example, enable precision farming and manufacturing as well as sustainable intensification which can have a profound impact on climate change. However, industrial manufacturing and agricultural SMEs fall behind on the exploitation of these new technologies. Shining light into the interactions of manual labourers and AI will lead to a novel understanding of how human-AI configurations at work emerge in-situ. We want to use this knowledge to help SMEs in industrial manufacturing and agriculture exploit the opportunities of AI.
