Giorgio Rettagliata is a PhD Candidate in the field of Human Resources at the University of Twente. He moved to Enschede from L'Aquila (Italy) in September 2021 to complete the second year of the Double Degree program (Human Resources Management- Business Administration, Economics, and Finance) between the University of Twente and the University of L'Aquila.

Giorgio began as a junior researcher in the BMS faculty at the University of Twente in October 2022. He collaborated with Drs. J.Meijerink, J.Akkermans, and A.Keegan on a project examining the impact of Deliveroo's exit from the Dutch market on platform workers.

As of April 2023, Giorgio started as a PhD candidate at the UT in the BMS faculty. His project focuses on understanding trust building negotiation behaviors using social robots. This PhD Project has an interdisciplinary character, and for this reason he is supervised by Drs. Tanya Bondarouk (HRM), Guido Hertel (Organizational and Business Psychology), and J. van t Klooster (BMS Lab).
