My name is Gijs van Oort and I was born in 1978 in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. I was raised in Eindhoven, where I spent much of my free time at ‘De Jonge Onderzoekers Eindhoven’. I studied Electrical Engineering at the UT, and did my masters at the Control Engineering group. In 2011 I obtained my Ph. D. in the field of walking robots, still at the Control Engineering group. At this moment I am working on the control of the new Lopes robot.
