dr. H.J.B. Muijzer - Witteveen (Heidi)

Programme Coordinator MSc Robotics & Programme manager Twente Robotics

About Me

Together with Jan Broenink (RAM,EEMCS) I'm working on the setup of the MSc Robotics programme (0.4 fte). We are nearing the end of the accreditation process and are awaiting the approval of the accreditation committee (expected May 2022) and will very likely start the programme in September 2022.

Within the MSc Robotics, Challenge Based Learning plays an important role; each quartile students will work on a challenge in a student team composed of students from different specialisations and profiles. Within this challenge students should also incorporate components of the courses they are involved in in that quartile in their challenge. This makes these challenges not only challenging for the students, but also for the teachers and other stakeholders. In my role as CBL coordinator I will work on guidelines for students and teachers, provide introductory courses on CBL, guide students, teachers and CBL coaches through the CBL process, and assess the final CBL work of the students.

Until May 2022 I'm also (0.4 fte) the programme manager of the Human Centered Robotics programme. Within this programme robotics researchers from different research groups and faculties are working together to increase visibility of robotics at the UT and also increase the collaboration with stakeholders outside the UT. Currently we are working towards the Robotics Center Twente in which not only research, but also education and valorisation are being combined.
